Some boring sketches that I haven’t done anything with. Poo poo.
The bound facsimile of The One Alone and Above
At last up online in it’s entirety!
Hey hey everyone! I’m so sorry for the sudden radio silence. In addition to finishing school, I have been sick off and on for the past two weeks! Blegh! Here’s to getting better and the posting of bigger and badder things!
Some recent sketches.
I can’t wait to get out of school and get weird.
Ink, watercolor and digital.
Illustration for the Grimm’s fairytale Bearskin. (Sister interior to this.)
Ink and digital.
Pages 6 and 7 of The One Alone and Above
Hand pulled silkscreen. Blue, gold, and white ink. (I am aware of all spelling and grammatical errors.)
I’ve been getting this question a lot from people who have seen The One Alone and Above and I figure I’ll answer it here for those who haven’t asked or for the intrepidly curious!
Q: What gold did you use on your book?
A: Golden Acrylics Iridescent Gold Deep (Fine)! Make sure it’s not labeled coarse as the pigment in that is too big to go through the screen. Mix it with floeterol and retarder and water to make it the consistency of normal silkscreen ink! Looks great on white and black paper! Pull away my fellow printers!
mizpollard asked: YOUR WORK IS SO LOVELY I JUST AAAAH
AHHHHHH
Thank you! It means so much to hear that from you because I am but a baby print maker and your prints are all so lovely and perfectly registered!
